Hemingway Documentary and Childhood Scrapbooks Now Available

There is a new documentary that is out about the friendship between Ernest Hemingway and long-time friend and actor Gary Cooper that had its first showing in New York City on October 11th.   The show, titled Cooper & Hemingway: The True Gen, is a documentary that is narrated by Sam Waterston.  See NY Times movie review by Andy Webster here.  Finally, read an interesting story on both Hemingway and Cooper from a 1961 article featured in Photoplay Magazine.

There is also a new series of digital photos from Hemingway’s mother, Grace Hemingway, that includes five scrapbooks (a sixth is coming soon) that documents Ernest Hemingway’s childhood up through his teenage years that can be seen here.  The archives are housed in Boston at the JFK Library.BWQ9uTxCAAASnvY
