Having recently purchased a first edition of Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast (1964) I began to wonder what some of his novels might sell for at auction if they were in mint condition compared to my “used” 1st edition that I had purchased.  I then came across a press release that mentioned a 1st edition (1st copy) of Hemingway’s For Whom The Bell Tolls (1940) recently went for $13,200 – see press release here.
